The Gifts

Photo: My photo from the garden center last Sunday

Larry is in Kansas City for meetings and The Cottage is super quiet. I don't think of Larry as loud, but when he is gone, The Cottage is always unusually quiet.

I would like to curl up in bed and read all day long, wouldn't that be nice?

But...I have plans, walk a couple of miles, make a pound cake, reading my devotionals and working on a painting. (then I will read!)

Before I start my day today, I must admit that my heart is full. It is filled with gratitude and love. I was thinking about friends and family and I am not sure that I say thank you enough to the ones who stay close. My road has been bumpy and the "C" word always changes everything. Sometimes when I am tired and don't have much to give, professed friends drop away. It is sad, but it is part of the journey.

I need to thank the friends who have stuck around. I am not the only person who have been blessed by these special friends. They are a gift to many people who also call them friends.

You know who you are and I thank you with all of my heart. You are a gift.

Love you beyond the moon.

Me
