Ahhhhhhh

I am so happy that Monday is over.
For some reason yesterday lasted forever.
Larry left for work super early this morning.
He woke me with a kiss as he was leaving the house.
It is my favorite way to wake up.

My laptop is slowly disintegrating.
Now the touchpad is dead.
I have brought out my trusty roller ball mouse!
This mouse is my favorite and now I get to use it for awhile!
{till the rest of the laptop falls apart}

There are three pairs of Tom's for me to paint.
Blue seems to be the favorite color for my clients,
but the flowers always change.
Today I will paint a flower I have never painted before...
this will be interesting. HA!

As I looked out the kitchen window this morning,
I remembered something I did last week.
It was at Larry's company  baseball event,
where I had the opportunity to meet a new salesman and his children.
I met the gentleman first and he pointed out his children
as they flew around the picnic area.
There were 4 of them, ranging in the age from about 18-5 years old.
He talked about his daughters and the small one, I am not sure if he was grandson or son.
When one of the kiddos came over to be with dad,
a sweet child, about 12.
I asked if she was the middle child.
{I have sympathy for middle children}
It is then when the child looked at me and said, I am a boy.
Oh My.
I was so embarrassed.
The long hair and high voice fooled me completely.
I think back on that moment and just could die.
Still.
 I am still embarrassed.
Have you ever done anything like that?
Please say that I am not alone.
Oh I could just die.

Today I will turn on a playlist and blast the music.
Not to worry.
Poor deaf Libby will not notice a thing.
Love you.

My Blank Canvas

Isn't a blank canvas wonderful?
You have the ability to make it into anything that you wish to.
It is brand new and with a little thought, you can create a masterpiece.

You do not have to be an artist to experience this magic.
A new day is like a canvas.
A new meal is like a canvas.
A new friendship is like a canvas.
There are dozens of other examples, but I will not bore you.
You get the point.

Today my new canvas is a pair of Tom's.
I have {finally} decided on the flower to paint on them.
Geraniums?

What is your brand new canvas?
Is it starting a vacation?
A new ballet class?
Did you make a new friend?
or
are you starting to write a new book?

Make it exactly as you wish it to be.
YOU are in control of your own masterpiece.

Off I go to paint a pair of Tom's.
It is my blank canvas for the day.
Love you.

Tea, Seeds and Tom's

When I was making my tea this morning,
I opened the patio doors.
It was cool, dark and damp. Just like France.
But it is spring in Texas.
I love spring so much and so many of the smells and sights
trigger things in my memory.
I love when that happens.
It is almost a gift from the past, reminding you of a grandparent or
moment from long ago.
OH!
By the way, Molly! thank you for the tea.
I love it and your thoughtfulness.

I have packets of seeds for Matilda.
She will take them home to plant them.
Do you know that Matilda has her own big girl shovel?
(and a tool box)

I DO have a rule about giving my ART away.
But leave it to Larry to bend the rules.
At his request, I am painting a pair of TOM'S for a client.
Have no fear.
I am deciding what I will buy (a new dress or sweater?)
because I painted these shoes for him, for his client.
Payback! It is wonderful.

Today is yoga day.
I love yoga day because I spend 1 1/2 hour
in that dreamy place yoga takes you to.

Libby has not eaten her dinner today.

The garbage men are squeaking down the cove.

I am in a rather bad mood but am trying to cover it up with a smile.

I worry about the missing plane, flightMH370.
How on earth could something like that have happened in this day and time?

I would rather stay home and paint than go to yoga today.
(but after yoga I am always so happy to have gone. What's up with that?)

Have a wonderful day...
smile through the rough spots.
Love you.
