At Yoga

Photo: Robin At Yoga

For a few years, Wednesday has been my yoga day.
It has helped tremendously with
balance, mindfulness and well-being.
(yoga breathing helps so much during medical procedures)
Who could ask for anything more?
Love you beyond the moon.

OH! How I Wish.

Yesterday (The 4th of July!) was wonderful. We talked to Jami while she was at work then we went to the country and had BBQ with Lauren, Josh and Matilda.
The day went super fast, I think that it was because Larry was off.
Today.....is a busy one.
We are ready to go to one of Larry's Dr appointments,
then I have yoga.
Larry has conference calls all day and the air bags in my car have been recalled  and need replaced this afternoon.
BUT I am seriously ready to get this day started.

There will be no time for painting today.

Last summer I painted for my DR.
Her canvas was in acrylic paints and small.
This summer, I am painting a similar painting in
oil on a much larger. canvas...
I will not have time to paint today...
but OH! How I wish I did.

What do you wish that you were doing today?
Love you beyond the moon.

About Luck

Photo: The yoga tree

I still take a photo of the tree in the courtyard outside my yoga class every month. The days have been exhaustingly hot and  so many things have a dry withered look about them. Fingers crossed and spit into the wind...that this heat wave ends soon.

Photo: Birthday scratch offs

This morning I scratched off a couple of my birthday scratch offs...and won!

Photo: A winner!

I won five dollars!  I have six more cards to scratch...wish me luck!

Have a wonderful day.

Be safe and be happy.

Love you beyond the moon.

Tea, Seeds and Tom's

When I was making my tea this morning,
I opened the patio doors.
It was cool, dark and damp. Just like France.
But it is spring in Texas.
I love spring so much and so many of the smells and sights
trigger things in my memory.
I love when that happens.
It is almost a gift from the past, reminding you of a grandparent or
moment from long ago.
OH!
By the way, Molly! thank you for the tea.
I love it and your thoughtfulness.

I have packets of seeds for Matilda.
She will take them home to plant them.
Do you know that Matilda has her own big girl shovel?
(and a tool box)

I DO have a rule about giving my ART away.
But leave it to Larry to bend the rules.
At his request, I am painting a pair of TOM'S for a client.
Have no fear.
I am deciding what I will buy (a new dress or sweater?)
because I painted these shoes for him, for his client.
Payback! It is wonderful.

Today is yoga day.
I love yoga day because I spend 1 1/2 hour
in that dreamy place yoga takes you to.

Libby has not eaten her dinner today.

The garbage men are squeaking down the cove.

I am in a rather bad mood but am trying to cover it up with a smile.

I worry about the missing plane, flightMH370.
How on earth could something like that have happened in this day and time?

I would rather stay home and paint than go to yoga today.
(but after yoga I am always so happy to have gone. What's up with that?)

Have a wonderful day...
smile through the rough spots.
Love you.

Untitled

Yesterday in yoga class, I felt surreal.
I focused and stretched, listening to my breathing,
as if I were the only person in the world.
Sometimes, if you are very still,
you can hear your heart beat in your ears.
I must have worked hard yesterday because today
I have a few really sore muscles.
The best part is that I am learning to focus again.

This morning I learned that a good friend  passed away.
Steve struggled and fought cancer for years.
Yesterday afternoon, he closed his tired eyes.
Barbie, Joe and Audra, you are in my heart and prayers today.
May God stand beside you and bless you.
Love you.

Gorilla Yoga

I am ready to Wednesday post.
My daily words about what I have been doing and feeling,
BUT
All I can think about is Gorilla Yoga.
It happened in Memphis last weekend,
at the ZOO.

All of this foolishness happened in 5 minutes.
I did not write captions, because the photos are just to funny.
Happy, No Monkey Business, Wednesday.
Love you!
