My Favorite cake

Lauren and I barter for things. Exchanging ART and food, we share treats and experiences. I had asked Lauren for new note cards...and she asked for a pineapple upside down cake.
She told me that the cards are ready this week....
and today I made the cake for her. ( and will deliver it tonight)
Excuse the poor quality of video.
I only had one hand to video with
and it is the first time I tried doing a food video.

The cake is in the oven, so I do not have a "done" photo...I'm sorry.
Making this cake is one of my favorite things.
Growing up, I often asked for this cake to be my birthday cake...
and
about one year before Mother died, she made this cake and invited us over for dessert.
While there, she announced that she "thought" that she had forgotten to put sugar in the cake.
We all ate the cake, trying to detect the sugar.
In the end, no one could notice if there was sugar or not.
I can almost hear Mother laughing.
This is one of my favorite cakes
and favorite memory.
Happy Friday.
Love you beyond the moon.
Me
