Safe And Warm

Yesterday I "planted" the mailbox.
This is something I do every year and enjoy the process very much.
The planter and mailbox have been in front of the house
for about 15 years.

The weather here has been crazy.
There has been inches and inches of rain
and today it is cold and windy.

The new plants,
Asparagus Fern and Purslane,
seem to be curled up, trying to stay warm.

I was going to plant herbs today.
{they go into planters on the back patio}
Maybe I will wait for a warmer day.

On this Memorial Day Weekend,
lets remember those who have died fighting
to keep us safe, warm and free.

Love you.
