Yesterday was the day to undecorate.
It always makes us a bit melancholy,
but knowing that we will see all these wonderful ornaments
in a few months helps our spirit.
I was in charge of the tree...the most dreaded of all
undecorating jobs.
I love touching each ornament...and remembering.
Dear friend, Anne Gifford, gave me this ornament last year.
It is one of my favorites.
Matilda made this for us this year.
It is also a dear favorite.
Soon enough,
the corner was empty.
The house was taken over with full boxes.
I almost forgot to pack the angel.
Larry took everything to storage.
And
when he returned, he brought me an orchid.
Paul and Jo gave Larry Champagne for his birthday.
Since Larry was sick on Christmas eve, we celebrated last night.
There is so much to say about a wonderful Christmas.
Larry and I said it all last evening....
It was an amazing holiday.
Love you,
Me
