Connected Hearts

In February, 2009 I bought a coin for Larry.
Our anniversary is in August.
I carried it with me for months
and photographed it with all the things that Larry loves.
 I took my favorite photos
and
made them into a book,
and
gave Larry the book and coin on our anniversary.

On holiday last fall, in the middle of Paris,
I found a MINT!
(and had fun shopping in person)
While planning anniversary surprises this year,
I found the Paris Mint's web-site.
I was so excited to order another Anniversary Coin.
I ordered, got confirmation and then waited.
I waited and waited and waited.
I even wrote to Madame, the customer service lady.
She never wrote back.
Merde.
C'est la Vie.
Kiss that Euro goodbye.
What was I going to do???
THEN,
I came home on Saturday to a note on the front door.
A special package was attempted to be delivered...
From France.

Larry was working from home this morning,
so
I took the package to the gazebo to open it.

Clues on the box
suggested that the coin had been on a 6 week adventure.
(all my info was on an invoice inside of the box)
But....
it was sent back to Paris.
Till last week.

The inside box was in perfect shape
for taking such an adventure.

As I opened the box, I took photos of each step.
I was so excited to see if it was exactly as I ordered.

It was the exact coin that I ordered.
Solid Bronze.
Connected Hearts.
Wait.
I had a message engraved on the back!
I turned it over......

Perfection.
I love surprises.....
Another coin for Larry......
I love you beyond the moon.
