Today I am grateful for hot Texas days.

Hot In Texas
It has been so hot in Texas, that I have not ventured far from the cottage. I do ok up to 95 degrees, but any hotter than that, it is impossible for me to spend any time outside.
The good thing about staying close to home is, we get visitors.
Neighbors, family, friends. I love the visitors.

Yesterday, our daughter Lauren came by with Em and puppy Charlie Mae. Charlie Mae stayed with us while Lauren and Em did errands.

Em did make time for a game of chess with Larry. (I love when the two of them play)

I hope that there are not many more slow (summer) Texas days left this year. I am ready to exercise outside, go to the Dallas Arboretum, and move around with my feet not feeling like I am walking in quicksand.

The "Babies", better known as my plants, will also be happy when the morning sun is not so strong.
But they are hanging in there.

I am sorry that the blog has been such a bore...
The dog days of summer, keep excitement at bay....
Let's hope for more exciting days soon.
Please have the best day.
Love you beyond the moon.
