With Help From My Hero

Last evening, Larry told me that he had read yesterday's blog post. We had an interesting conversation about ghosting, toxic people and the "right thing to do".

He told me that he thinks that the right thing to do in cases like that, is to leave. Always leave a toxic relationship. It does not matter if it is a friend, family member or an angry stranger on the street. Just leave. It is not worth putting yourself into a stressful situation because someone else is broken.

He knows that I had to leave a few toxic relationships over the years and it was not easy. His support and love means the world to me.

I met Larry 50 years ago, in 1974 and we were married in 1977. (Larry is my Hero)

My days today are as happy and filled with love as they were when Larry and I started dating. It is because of my relationship with Larry, I am able to recognize toxicity when I see it. But to recognize it and to do something about it are two totally different things.

I am almost 70 years old and learning new life skills every day. The days are going by very fast in a wonderful sort of way and realize that this moment, right now, is the moment that matters most of all. It is MY responsibility to manage my happiness.

I wish you the same wonderful day. Find a good friend and share a picnic lunch...Happiness is only a smile away.

Love you beyond the moon.
Me
