The Old Flu Bug

I know that I should never make so many plans for one weekend. The older I get the more "iffy" some of the plans become.

Friday plans were to grocery shop for the weekend, work on a project for the beach and have lunch "out" (I was hungry for a salad at our favorite Pizza Bistro).... because Larry had gotten us tickets for the symphony and we often eat a lunch out before the concert. Saturday was meeting Lauren, Josh and Matilda for an afternoon movie and dinner. Sunday plans were, church and then our special Oscar dinner.

On Friday, I got up earlier than usual. The grocery shopping was done and the dress that I am making, came together rather fast (it just needs hemming!) and then had my favorite salad At GAPCO. By then I had time to rest an hour before going into town to the symphony. I was really tired on Friday and distracted and thought perhaps it was because I was busy.

We had great tickets for the concert. Larry brought me a glass of Champagne, we toasted a few dear friends....and we went to our seats.

The concert was into its 4th song  when it hit me.

I made it to the ladies room (it was empty because the concert was in full swing) where I threw up forever and Larry waited outside. We had to walk from the Meyerson Symphony Center to our car in the parking garage...and I made it to the car where I threw up all the way back to Plano. Thank goodness, Larry keeps an emergency garbage bag in the trunk.

When we came home, I threw the bag away and made it to the bathroom. Being home was wonderful. I threw up till midnight. It has been over 48 hours since my episode....and I am feeling much better. BUT it feels like I have a broken rib and I am really tired. That is all.

On Sunday, I felt well enough to put together our annual Oscar night dinner....with Larry's help that is. I will post pictures tomorrow.

I hope that you had a great weekend. Get your flu shot.(not that mine helped at all) I am trying to do Laundry and then go back to bed and read)

Love you beyond the moon.
