Oscar Night At The Cottage

Photo: Oscar night dinner

Each year, Larry and I celebrate the movies that we had seen over the year with a special dinner and by watching the awards show. We see all of the nominated films for best picture and have our favorites.

We start planning the menu a week or so ahead. This year we started dinner toasting all of the movies with a Kir Royale...then dinner consisted of pork tenderloin Diane, potato casserole, brussels sprouts and home made bread. For dessert we had a carmel turtle tart.

I was getting over the flu bug...but dinner tasted wonderful. Larry helped me every step of the way and he set the table!

I think dessert was his favorite course....

The tart was a new recipe for me and I made it early in the morning. He loved it and I think the left overs are better than first cuts!

Whatever you did on Sunday evening, I hope that it made you smile.

Love you beyond the moon.
