The World You've Got

When Matilda was a little girl, Larry gifted her with the Christmas Poo.(a silly decoration from Michaels craft store) Matilda was not impressed and after a few months, she gifted it back to him. The exchange has been going on back and forth for maybe 5 years now? To be honest with so much going on in our lives, we had forgotten about it the past year.

Yesterday, we were picking up Matilda for the day. We had shopping and fun planned.

She ran out to the car with a gift in her hands. Yes. You can guess it. She was so excited that she wanted Larry to open the gift  right there.

I had no idea what was happening.... we had long forgotten about the Christmas Poo. But......

It was so funny. Matilda got Larry really good this time. Now I have that blasted Christmas Poo here at The Cottage. (ICK)

The three of us, four including the Christmas Poo....went shopping. Matilda picked out awesome gifts for her parents and she had fun.

Sometime, around lunch time Matlida asked if we could stop because she would like a large fry from McDonalds. That is exactly what we did.

We took a break and then came back to The Cottage.... when we do that we play games and sometimes cheat. Yesterday we played Old Maid. Somehow we lost a card and it made the game and cheating more difficult. But we had fun and laughed a lot. After we delivered Matilda back home, Larry found the lost Old Maid card. It was Louise Trapeze who was missing. I wonder if Matilda hid it? Hummm.

Larry bought Matilda a beret hat yesterday....It was a frog beret hat.

She sent us a selfie this morning wearing it.

Five more days till Christmas. It is time for me to slow down and reflect on these special moments. My life is such a treasure and my blessings are more than I can count.

I am so very thankful  that it makes me cry. I hope that the things I do to pay it forward are enough.
