Something's Gotta Give

We have a tradition each thanksgiving. We enjoy dinner at the same small restaurant in Paris. It is a lovely place, with amazing food.

We have eaten there for quite a few years....but we had never gotten to enjoy  dinner at THE table. On Thanksgiving evening, when we arrived, we were greeted warmly. (I think that they remembered us because our name is Tolbert-close to Colbert) The maitre'D whispered to the assistant, and off we went to be seated. To THE table! THE table is where the scene in 'Somethings Gotta Give' was filmed.

Our dinner and wine were fabulous, we talked about so many things and during dessert our waiter brought us a book...I guess it is THE book. It has shots of Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson with Keanu Reeves exactly where we were sitting. I am not into things like this so much and we have been to the restaurant before...but the tables around us seemed interested and lots of pictures were taken.

I am not sure what exactly happened...I had never seen  all this flutter around THE table before. It was interesting.

We had crepes Suzette for dessert.....

It was a beautiful evening in Paris. Our taxi picked us up after dinner and when we returned home to the apartment we took a little walk around the neighborhood.  We talked about this great Thanksgiving and the things that we were thankful for....
