The Bouquet and Garter

The summer before Larry and I were married, (1976)

we attended the wedding  of his friends. Larry and Billy had gone to school together and Glynis was a checker at Larry's grocery store. (in fact, as the story goes, Larry set them up!)

At the wedding, Larry caught the garter and I caught the brides bouquet.

I was very uncomfortable catching the bouquet, but I think that Larry loved the bouquet, garter event and how it turned out.

 My favorite part of his photo is how Larry is holding my hand.  

Billy and Glynis look so happy. They are still married and have two grown sons.

Isn't love amazing?
