A Day In Memphis Tennessee

Photo: Robin & Larry at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens in Memphis

On Saturday Morning, Larry and I got up early and caught a plane to Memphis, Tennessee. (Larry grew up in Memphis) Our Plane was full and we sat in first class.  The flight was wonderful, and everyone was very nice. A day away is just what we needed!

Our itinerary was flexible. The Dixon ART gallery, an antique mall, visiting a few old friends, and we did have plans for lunch with Larry's sister and were looking forward to it very much. But she canceled.
Most of Larry's family lives in the Memphis area. We have not seen them in ages. (We saw his parents in 2013 after my first breast cancer)
Our last trip to Tennessee was a nightmare, Larry was hurt very badly and swore that we would never return. But we did on Saturday. (Larry is really awesome like that. He is kind and forgiving)

I have come to the conclusion that you cannot make someone like you. No matter how hard you try. You can be the sweetest thing on earth but there will always be haters because they are hard hearted.

We spent the morning at the Dixon ART gallery and even that was not enough time. The people there were so kind. I just did not have enough time there.

After the Dixon we went antiquing. I found a few things and enjoyed the process very much. It was very much like a brocant in Paris.
We visited old friends, had lunch and took a drive through our old neighborhood.
It was the best day and I cannot imagine it being any better!
We flew home late Saturday night just in time to set our clocks for daylight saving time.

At the gardens, Lilys of the Valley were growing everywhere. I love Lilies of the Valley and they do not grow in Texas. I have missed them!

I have many other pictures...and will share later.
It was the most wonderful day with Larry.
I will remember it always.

I wish you a happy day.
Take a small break, try to enjoy the moments of today.
Love you beyond the moon.

Good for Larry! Relationships are challenging and all we can do is control how we respond. And good for you on supporting him. That gallery sounds lovely.πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
