The Zinnias

It was very cold last night. It feels more like Autumn now..and almost Winter.

In The Cottage, Larry is the caretaker of the Zinnias. It started after breast cancer #2 when I bought a huge package is zinnia seeds. The seeds were sold by their weight, and it was a huge bag. I did not feel like planting the seeds or tending to them, so Larry took over.

He planted them, kept them watered and each Sunday he would cut enough blooms for the Mason jar and new blooms would emerge in the back garden during the next week.

Last week, he came to me holding a small bundle of zinnias.

He said: The zinnias are almost done for this year.

He did not sound very sad about it, he might be tired of them.

Christmas Memory Book
The photo today is in bad shape...but you can see us in France.
Photo: Christmas photo, 2000

I must have this photo restored.
I love it so much.
In fact, I remember Larry taking that shot.
We had been going to France in November for about 5 years at that time and the girls were very much at home there.
We were laughing and being silly...it was a good day.
2000 was long ago but I remember the moments as if they happened yesterday.

Love you beyond the moon.
