Labor Day Ramblings & Sunday, Dinner and a Movie

We pretended that we were far away yesterday,
vacationing and being....lazy.
It wasn't the same as the real thing.
BUT,
we did have Sunday dinner and a movie.

Dinner menu: Grilled burgers, pinto beans, frites.
AND
Yuengling Lager
(our favorite!! Served in our house!)

Dessert was a pineapple upside down cake.
It is the recipe mother had used since 1960 and it was perfection.

The lighting on the cake is bad...but you can see the caramelization on the pineapples and oh! That brown sugar!

Our movie was a 1938 classic

YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU

I LOVE this movie, but I will not be a spoiler in case you have never seen it.
(if you haven't see it, maybe give it a try?)

Here we are. Monday morning on Labor Day 2021....
we have a busy day planned and yes! It includes Matilda.
Stay safe dear ones.....
Love you beyond the moon.
