"Piecing quilts is like living life...
The Lord sends us the pieces, but we can cut 'em out
and
put 'em together pretty much to suit ourselves..."
Many years ago I brought fabric home from the beach
{9 yards}
and made the quilt in the picture above.
I pieced the quilt, using 100% Hawaiian, cotton fabric.
The middle layer is cotton batting
and
the backing is blue, floral, cotton from Honolulu.
I love this quilt.
It is the only quilt I have ever made, "just for me."
You know that the temperature
is around freezing in Dallas,
because the beach quilt is on the bed.
{and it is amazing to spoon under}
I wish you sweet, warm, "beach-quilt" nights.
