Mother Of The Bride

Today I feel privileged to be a Mom.
I am spending the day with Jami.
{the bride-to-be}
We will be doing Bride-To-Be things.

When I managed the Flower Shop,
I was THE wedding planner.
The owner did not like dealing with brides, but I loved it.
It was called directing a wedding then.
Today I would have been called a wedding planner.

BUT
Today, all I have to be is Mother.
{I have been whispering that to myself all morning}

Larry hugged me before leaving for work this morning,
whispering in my ear:
One day you will be grandmother of the bride.
Goodness.
I love that idea.

Love you,
Me
