When I Get Older...

Last night was Beatles night at the Dallas Arboretum.

The band- A Hard Nights Day.

We saw this band years ago, in a tiny pub.

Some things never change. They are still fun and popular.

The costume contest was a a hit, 

John Lennon above, on the left, won the grand prize.

I packed a picnic,

Ham and swisse sliders, potato salad and wine.

The little sandwiches were my favorite.

Larry chose the wine and it was fabulous.

The concert was sold out, this is before everyone arrived.

Every patch of grass, was blanket covered by the time the band started.

As the evening wore on and the sun was setting,

I felt exhausted.  Larry and I sat still 

as the beautiful night moved all around us.

It was  good visiting with friends Sammy and Mollie.

Our picnic was fun

and

the music very Beatle-ish.

It was the perfect evening to prepare us for today and the weekend.
