I love old photos from the antique shop.

Photo: Found At The Antique Shop

I found this photo at a shop in Sherman Texas a few months ago....

Larry said the little girl looks like Nellie Oleson from the TV show, Little House On The Prairie. I think that the dynamics of this family are so interesting, look at the body language.

What do you think?

Please have the best Sunday!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful son in law, Jared.

Jared, Larry and I wish you a great day!

Love you beyond the moon.

Jackson and Ernest

Yesterday was an excellent day. We had 4 inches of rain during the night before, and the back garden was a lovely shade of green. I got a few projects finished and we also went to see Jackson Pollock and Ernest Hemingway.

Jackson and Ernest are the new puppies. OH, and we saw our daughter Jamison and son in law Jared.

It was a wonderful visit. Jami, Jared and the puppies live east of the Dallas area in a small beautiful community. Larry and I love to visit them. Besides the dogs, we love going to visit because Jared (A wonderful chef) cooks for us. Yesterday we had his award winning chili. It was so very good that I am still dreaming about it.

Jared gave us a bottle of wine to have with our dinner last night....(we had left overs for dinner) and the wine was perfect. Larry put the wine label into the wine journal when we were finished.

It was a VERY GOOD day.

Love you beyond the moon.

A Family Moment

I was going through old pictures on my laptop yesterday. There are hundreds of folders filled with family, travel, pet and food pictures. Hundreds. I love them all and soon I must update, before my computer dies.

This family portrait was saved from the recycle bin....

Family from left: Jared, Jamison, Lauren, Josh, Matilda, Robin & Larry

The photo was taken the first time we met Jared, Jamison's now husband and our son in law. We had lunch at India Palace restaurant in Dallas.  It was Saturday, February 11. 2012. (YES! Larry looked the date up in his journal for me)

I have no idea how this picture came to be. By the hostess? The manager? Look how little Matilda was!   Was it before lunch or after?

Eleven years have sped by...How wonderful is that?

Posting this photo is one of the reasons I blog. When I am gone, there will be memories and photos posted of special moments.

Love you beyond the moon.

Mother of the bride

This is happening.
Jamison is getting married in a month.
Almost everything is arranged,
there are just a few loose ends to tie up.

I read somewhere that it is the
mother of the bride's job
to stay calm.
Is that possible?
Weddings are stressful to plan.
Who's feelings are you going to hurt
and
how will you solve problems A & B?

My Larry, the crazy father of the bride,
has loved this process.
He jumped in and made wonderful suggestions.
He is awesome.

It is said that.....
All brides to be should watch the old movie
Father Of The Bride
with
Spencer Tracy.
After they watch that,
 they might understand
what their parents are going through.

I have odd, sentimental feelings
that I cannot share with anyone.
They are sweet and reminiscent.
When Lauren got married,
the same mood hit me.

I will figure this out....

Love you beyond the wedding cake.

Thy Will Be Done

Anyone who knows My Larry and me,
knows that my daughter Jami is engaged to Jared.
Brave, strong, Jared is an
 Ex-Marine and Dallas Police Officer.

Last night the Dallas Police Force was targeted
and many officers were killed and injured.

Where is hate like this coming from?
I am numb today with hurt and questions.
As I try to stay positive today,
faith is what sustains me.

Dear God,
Please give strength to those in Dallas
as they struggle through this difficult situation
of losing loved ones and healing injuries.

In Jesus's name we pray.
Amen.

Love you.
