Today I am grateful for Em's 13th Birthday.

Happy Birthday Em!

We celebrated Em this weekend. 13 is such an important number.
Em's Parents, and her best friend met us at EDOKO, a wonderful sushi restaurant. We talked nonstop, laughed, wished Em happy birthday, she opened gifts and we all had a wonderful evening.

Birthdays are the best of all holidays. It is your own special day of celebration.

Last week Larry and I did get to visit with our daughter Jamison. She has not been well, so any time with her is a blessing.
Jami and Jared have two sweet puppies.
Weimaraner Puppies! Jami took this picture of Larry and I with Ernest Hemingway.

Jackson Pollack was off chewing a bone...but I will get a picture with him next time.

It is Monday morning, July 22, please remember...

Jackson and Ernest

Yesterday was an excellent day. We had 4 inches of rain during the night before, and the back garden was a lovely shade of green. I got a few projects finished and we also went to see Jackson Pollock and Ernest Hemingway.

Jackson and Ernest are the new puppies. OH, and we saw our daughter Jamison and son in law Jared.

It was a wonderful visit. Jami, Jared and the puppies live east of the Dallas area in a small beautiful community. Larry and I love to visit them. Besides the dogs, we love going to visit because Jared (A wonderful chef) cooks for us. Yesterday we had his award winning chili. It was so very good that I am still dreaming about it.

Jared gave us a bottle of wine to have with our dinner last night....(we had left overs for dinner) and the wine was perfect. Larry put the wine label into the wine journal when we were finished.
