A few days ago, I was having a discussion about antiques.
It was then I realized that I have MADE antiques that are here at the house.
When did I get so old?

I made the daisy crewel piece in 1977, in the summer before I married Larry in August. It was for our little apartment in Memphis, TN. We could not afford to get it framed then but we did get it framed for when we bought our little house.
That same summer before I married Larry (while I was working at a local florist shop) I made the Elsa Williams sampler.

These two pieces live with us every day in the cottage. I never thought about their age or the significance of their existence until recently.
It seems that now they are being used in movies and TV shows.
But.....
Antiques are not just objects; they are treasures that carry the essence of time.
I am feeling sentimental.
A dear friend had a bad accident last evening and is in the ICU today.
Please, if you would, remember him in your thoughts and prayers today?
He and his wife would appreciate prayers very much.
Bruce and Lisa, we are thinking about you.
Love you beyond the moon.
Me
