Sunday, Dinner and Movie and the Forbidden Kiss

 Larry and I celebrated Valentines Day last week (afternoon tea at the Adolphus Hotel)...and then again yesterday for Sunday, Dinner and a Movie.

I love Valentine's Day.

We had a simple menu.

Filet Mignon, baked potatoes, squash casserole and sourdough bread.

Larry gave me a new bundt pan from Williams Sonoma,

and I made a dark chocolate, chocolate chip cake. Served with Whipped cream and strawberries.

Last week, we found this funky wine at Total Wines.

Forbidden Kiss! 

It was a red sparking wine and a little icky.

We added orange juice to it and it was delicious!

(it was a very ugly color but we ignored that)

The wine was really cheap and to be honest, we loved the label.

Little did we know that it would make the best Mimosa in the world!

Then we watched the movie, Julie and Julia.

One of our all-time favorites.

It was a lovely Sunday afternoon.
