Every month, I take a photo of the tree
in the courtyard at Wednesday Yoga.
It has been extremely hot in Texas this summer and the plants in the courtyard are dry and wilted looking.
It is hot in Texas again today. It will be 105 degrees this afternoon.
The heat of this summer is being compared to the Texas summer of 1980.
In July of 1980, Larry and I lived in Memphis Tennessee and came to Plano for a vacation.
We went to a Dallas Cowboys game (it was 103 degrees at kick-off), played tennis, swam a lot at Los Rios Country Club and loved the visit with my parents.
That was also the week that we learned that we were pregnant with Lauren.
Why didn't the heat of 1980 summer drive me crazy like this summer is?
I guess because I am 40 years older.
Try to stay cool and safe.
