Baking Might Help

Yesterday was interesting. The Cottage is a mess, and I really don't care. (I am just tired and not ready to be home from such an amazing holiday)

Before we left for Kaua'i, I bought a jigsaw puzzle. We had not put one together for years and I really liked this puzzle....and yesterday I dumped the puzzle out on the dining room table. Just what we needed.
MORE clutter.

But the puzzle is amazing. A Matisse puzzle. How awesome is that? I have just started putting it together.

Larry was super sweet about the puzzle thing and the messy house thing. I think that he is feeling the same way that I am feeling.

On his lunch hour, we walked two miles in the neighborhood. It was a beautiful day and the sky was so amazing. But we were still grumpy and tired.

TODAY- I am off to the market...to buy bananas for banana nut bread. About 30 years ago, I found an old Texas Baptist Church cookbook at Half Price Bookstore. It has the most wonderful recipes in it and it was published in 1980. This cookbook's banana nut bread recipe is my favorite of all time.

I think that baking might help me get through today.

Love you beyond the moon.
