Many years ago, a good friend gave me a CD for my birthday. It was a Pink Martini (a band) CD and I have been "hooked" ever since. My friend passed away about a year and a half ago. I miss him often...especially last night.
Pink Martini was in Dallas. Larry bought our concert tickets ages ago and they were first row seats. Last night was awesome. Larry brought me Champagne, we held hands and listened to all of our favorite Pink Martini songs as they performed them in front of us and we thought about Kevin.
I took a few photos, They are not very good but I love the re-remembering of events like this....

It was wonderful being at a concert last night, to be in the opera house, enjoying music and the people around me. I felt human.
Three years ago, I was taking many things for granted. I hope that I never become that insensitive again.
Thank you Pink Martini for reminding me what it felt like to be alive again. (and let me remember a wonderful friend))
