We are well into 2022. Are you doing ok? Are you watching to much national news? (I am and I have been told to not watch so much) Are you happy and ready for the joys of what this year might hold? Do you make new years resolutions? I typically do not make them but I often have hopes for the new year.
While doing a bit of research, I found this poem by Rudyard Kipling.
I asked Larry that in this new year, we each write down ideas we would like for our personal Memorial Service after passing away. We are both ok, I promise, but I am 67 years old, have had breast cancer twice in 10 years and to be honest, I am slowing down. I hate that most of all. The slowing down.
I started what I call "Memorial Service Thoughts" and keep a sheet of paper here at my desk. When I think of something for my service, I add it. Then when finished, I will put the paper in our "Will" box. That way Larry does not have to try to remember anything. If he makes a "Memorial Service Thoughts" sheet for me, I will not be a deer in the headlights trying to remember the things that he said that he likes.
This is not the typical new years resolution but it is what is important to me this year. Even though we will not need these lists for about 20 more years.
I just printed this up and will staple it with my list before I envelope it up...
My list shall be finished this month. (January, 2022) Any bets if Larry even does a Memorial Service Thoughts list?
Love you beyond the moon.
