THE BABY GIFT
Yesterday I dusted off my
pleating machine.
It is stored with wax paper on the needles,
and in an old white box.
While I was doing that,
Fabric was being washed, dried and ironed.
and I sewed the front & back to sleeves.
(this will be a BISHOP type child's dress)
After sewing, I rolled the fabric on a dowel.
but it did well, and I did not lose my touch!
The fabric was pleated, perfectly,
and I pinned it to my smocking board.
Very good friends are expecting a baby girl.
While I work on this gift,
human nature, and the gifts we all share,
seem to touch me in the most wonderful way.
I am so thankful for the simple things.
The smell of fresh mowed grass...
puppy kisses,
fresh baked cookies.
Life is amazing.
Love you.
