Orchid Babies

It is another Wednesday. Just 6 am. I was expelled from a bed that is over-run with dogs. (well just Libby and Ajax, who are bed hogs) I needed to get up, and am using the dogs as my excuse.

The orchid above thrilled me while I was in an orchid shop on holiday. I bought one of its babies. A tiny spider-like group of leaves, that I now keep nested in moss, that sits in a tiny clay pot. Fingers crossed and spit into the wind...perhaps it will thrive, even out of its element. It will be years before it blooms, but well worth the wait if I manage to keep alive. How wonderful would that be?

Ajax, the spunky Boston Terrier is here. She will keep me busy this next week. She will keep us laughing also.

Dr M found a few "IFFY" spots while at my visit on Monday. A return visit is planned for a spot on my shoulder, for a biopsy..and a visit to an ENT Dr for the spot in my mouth. How on earth do you get "spots" in your mouth? (don't say it!)

It rained all day yesterday, The dampness of the evening still hangs out on the patio. When the sun rises, the air will clear and it will be a brand new day. Not left-overs from yesterday.

Enjoy the moments of today. Breathe and smile. How lovely it is to be alive.
