The Shelf

On a shelf, by my work desk, is a picture of my parents on their wedding day. I decided on that photo because, I loved them both very much. I bought the angel a week after mothers death. (In 1995) Both picture and statue have been together ever since. 25 years.

Photo: THE Shelf

Tomorrow is Mothers Birthday. August 6. She would have been 95 years old. Mother died when she was 70 years and one week old. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out.
I can hardly believe that it has been 25 years since her death.

The dog next to Mother on the shelf is Lancelot. He was my childhood dog, a wonderful blond cocker spaniel. Camelot was mothers favorite play when we adopted Lancelot, Lance in 1960-1961. I guess that you already figured that out, right?

Sweet Lance died a few months after I married Larry when Lance was 17. I loved him very much.

Today, in honor of THE Shelf...I remember two wonderful souls in my life. Mother and Lance.

Memories are tricky things aren't they? I found the quote below online....

We are all different, but this is exactly how I feel. Memories have the ability to make me very  quiet for awhile. How do you feel about memories?

Love you beyond the moon.

Me
