I had never given social media enough credit. I thought it was a warehouse of crazy, negative, comments filled with I dare you posts.
Social media is a platform where kindness can be part of this crazy equation. Last year I was off most sites for many, many months. (except my blog) When I returned, I found most of the important people that I had missed. Even though I had not met many of them, they had became part of my days.
During the past couple years, I have had challenging health issues. There is one account that I followed daily. When I viewed the IG account daily, it radiated JOY....shared joy. It was one of the stories, posts, and messages that I went to each morning. It is an account sharing pug dogs, the link is below.
There is something about the intimate connection on social media. Yesterday, when logging onto the site, I learned that one of the sweet "girls" had passed away. Fien, Josephine to be proper. Fien and her sister Rosie live in the Netherlands. Their JOYful antics allowed me to smile, even when I did not want to....
So, I say goodbye to Fien today. My heart is heavy. I know that her wonderful family is grieving. If you check the IG account...please leave a kind message?...they would appreciate it very much.
Here is to Fien..
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
The photo was shared by Fien's human sister. She gave permission to use it.
I hope that Fien has found Libby. The idea of those two sweet girls together makes my heart happy.
Rest well, sweet Fien. You are missed terribly.
Love you beyond the moon.
Me
