Waylaid by Photos

Do you know how many photos are in this Cottage?
Not just hard copies, but on my big computer, my laptop and tablet.
Thousands.
I had the bright idea to organize things,
in the cottage and the computers.

I had the best of intentions, but got waylaid by the oddest things.
Since I lease many of  my photos, I save everything.
Yesterday was a remember the photo day.
It was wonderful, reliving the moments.
Please let me share them with you?

Here is Lauren and a very young Mitzu...
What is on Lauren's head?
My mother knit that dress for me about 1967

 Here is my cousin Lon.
The family Superhero for sure.

Here is the stinky feet car.
It still makes me laugh.

This one is interesting.
My sister Cyndie created a family collage.
Larry and I are the two in the upper right corner.
{she digitized us out}
Life is best when you know how people feel about you!

On the day My Larry and I celebrated 25 years of marriage,
we had our wedding blessed by a minister in Nassau, Bahamas.
It was a wonderful day.
Lauren and Jami stood up with us.

 My daughters are amazing.
They have always been wonderful and always will be.
Larry and I could not be prouder of them.
Jami posed for this pic and has always hated it.
I must admit, it is one of my favorites.

Do you know that I babysat for the Company
PETS ARE INN?
There is an ex-NFL football player who lived in west Plano.
I would babysit their 4 pugs.
I loved them all.
I took this photo, and the pugs parents used it for their Christmas Card that year.
The oldest, William, was my favorite.
He is on the far right.

Sometimes, taking the time to snap "that shot" is a pain.
But I promise, stopping to take a picture is a gift.

Maybe not right away, but for the future.

I am so happy that I was waylaid yesterday.
So many pictures, so many smiles.

Today my good friend,  Bobbie sent me her word for the day.
{ I loved that it was about ART}
Let me share it with you.

Life is your art. An open, aware heart is your camera.
A oneness with your world is your film.
~Ansel Adams~

Thank you Bobbie.
AND
Thanks for the snow!
We cannot wait to see you.

Happy Thursday everyone.
Love you.
