2014!

Happy 2014.
I have been thinking about the new year so much.
I wonder what exciting things will happen,
what in love couples will get married?
Babies will be born into sweet families,
who will leave us after a well lived life?
What new ART will be created?
Jami and Jared will both graduate this year.
Matilda will turn 3 and I will turn 60.
What books will I read and how many quilts will I make?

New Years Eve we once again went to the symphony.
Larry wore his new tie from Matilda
and
the evening was magical.
We sipped wine, talked, had a wonderful dinner
and
listened to the piano while we waited to be seated
for the symphony concert.
It WAS Magical.

Last night was twelfth night.
I prepared dinner and we watched a movie.
Medallions, baked potatoes, squash casserole {Lisa Aven's recipe!}
For dessert we had custard with whipped cream and blueberries.
Movie was HOUSEBOAT.

Our entire Holiday was magic.
I know that we all have challenges ahead,
but if we remember the magic while going through the rough times,
it will help us get through even the worst circumstances.

I wish you happy new year.
I wish you happiness and smiles.....
Much love,
Me
