Oh What A Night

Oh what a glorious weekend.
The weather whispered of fall,
and
It was full of some of my favorite things.
Friends, food and fun.
Friday started with lunch at Panera Breads.
A forever friend and her children met
Jamison, Lauren and Matilda and me.
It was the best lunch and visit ever!
Nesli, you are the best and your children are charming.
***
Friday night, Larry and I had a date at Marcus Cafe.
Wine, salad and pizza!
Not to mention one of my favorite desserts ever
PINEAPPLE!
oh, yes it is...Merci Thierry!
***
Saturday morning took me to Costco and Target.
It was a day of running errands.
And,
I bought a new toaster!
I have not had one in years and I adore toast.
Today, I will be trying it out.
Saturday evening brought many smiles...
It was a great day.
***
Sunday started with the creation of a dessert.
A chocolate mousse.
Then
I bit the bullet and did something I had been putting off for ages.
Making Larry's favorite dinner.
Duck.
While I was cooking, we
Nibbled crackers & cheese, drank Campagne
and Played chess.
Oui.
I won. Again. Ha
Then dinner......what can I say?
Amazing...It was amazing.
What a night....oh what a night.
(Sunday movie was Amelie
Wine: Cheateu Greysac.)
We had the best weekend.
And guess what?
It is now a beautiful, rainy Monday.
Sign this: still feeling happy in Texas
Love you,
Me
