Day Three/ Putting Miles on the Camero

We got up early on day 3.
It was sunny and cold.
I bought a Custer State Park Hoodie at the general store.
Above is the front of the game lodge.
I LOVED staying here.

After grabbing a water, hoddie and banana,
we started a day trip.
The deal was, to stop where we wanted and not make plans.
This is where we started......
a herd of buffalo on what is called the
Wildlife Loop.
Screaming man and buffalo.

The donkey gang attacked the car in front of us.
All I had was the banana,
they did not like us to much.

Screaming Man and donkey!

I think that the donkey would have eaten
screaming man if the window was down.

This is the last herd we saw before leaving Custer State Park
The trees are what is left from a forest fire.
We left the park and went to....
DEADWOOD,SD.

Wild Bill Hickok is buried high on a hill in Deadwood,
Mt Moriah Cemetery.
His "bust" makes him look very handsome,
and looks a lot like Larry!

Calamity Jane, was in love with Wild Bill.
Before her death, she requested to be buried next to him.
Her wishes were granted.
The cemetery was clean, beautiful and it was a great stop
on our day trip.

Ok OK.....
We left Deadwood and made our way to
STURGIS....
Shopping at the Harley Shop was so much fun.
{and you should SEE the bikes!}

We ended up at Keystone, SD....
and had the most wonderful pizza,
Watched cowboys in the street,
AND
this SUV got a parking ticket while we were eating dinner
on the board walk.
I wanted to wait to see the people's reaction
when they got back to the car and found the ticket.
BUT
I was so tired,
so we went back to the lodge.
