In March 1984 I was pregnant with Jami.
My best friend came by the house one day and told me
about the most amazing sweater pattern(the hamburger sweater)
in this months WOMANS DAY KINTTING magazine.
I cannot remember if she gave me her copy,
OR
If I went and bought the magazine myself.
But LOOK what I found today.
As I struggle through today, I find myself cleaning up
old files, and patterns.
Lara, I also found the original Baby Owl pattern
that you gave me for Lauren.
I found Mothers old Swedish books,
and
yes.
I have been crying.
Not sobbing mind you.
But tears spilling down my cheeks
as I recognize books that I would hang over as a child,
looking at the pictures,
while Mother knitted for us.
Now I know,
that Mother gave me the love of knitting.

Oh Robin! This is a wonderful now as the first day I saw it. I should start another one, only this time I should finish it, LOL. Remember the Wendy's commercial? Lindy used to say, "Where's the Meef?" I miss you, Robin. And I share your tears. ♥
