Re-Reading My Journal ~ Day One

We arrive.
Philadelphia is hot and steamy.
The rental car place is my least favorite of travel experiences.
Our car is in space 515.
A red Camry Hybrid.
Larry is agitated with it as we leave the car lot.
He cannot discover where to reset the seat positions.
The steering wheel is next to his chest.
The HERTZ man showed him where to adjust it,
all was well.
Driving to Bucks County, is a quiet time.
It is going to be a week to remember.
We check into our hotel.

Sue, my Uncle's widow, is waiting for us.
We have arranged to go to dinner.
We pick her up at her home.
(imagine a 1940's converted farmhouse in Bucks County)
We arrive at Earl's, not late for our reservations.
We each have a couple of drinks.
(we needed them now)
A hearty, organic dinner with produce from Earl's garden,
now,
we drop Sue off back at her home.
Tomorrow is going to be a huge day,
a good night sleep tonight is needed.

Love you,
Me
