Saturday in Bed

Hello!
It is a cloudy Saturday morning,
I am in bed.
I hear a lawn mower buzzing
and
Libby is snuggled next to me snoring.
***
It is that time.
You know the time in any illness
when self pity takes over.
( you feel so sorry for yourself, because you feel like merde)
I personally believe that when self pity sets in,
recovery is soon to follow.
Good news!
I am on the way to recovery!
***
I am in bed.
In bed all the time.
Dr H's drugs are working....
BUT
Spending Saturday in bed is almost a sin.
I want to be at Target buying things for the week,
I want to take a long walk.
I want to meet friends for dinner.
Maybe next Saturday?
Please do me a favor?
Whatever day you read this...
Smile.
We take so much for granted.
Knowing that there are so many special things in our lives,
Happy moments, love, health.
Smile?
Love you...
Me

Sorry, Robin, not the easiest thing for a "doer and goer" like you, I'm sure. You know what I always think when I'm stuck in bed for a long time? A higher power wants me to get a lot of rest and think-time, which I usually NEVER get anywhere near enough of. Maybe it's yours. In any case, I hope you feel better soon!!We're leaving for Boston next week to visit our son. I've only gotten to see him twice a year since he moved for a job so I'm VERY excited to see him. You're so lucky to live close to your girls!
Best wishes - be well,
Rosemary
