Promises and Tomorrows

On the subject of writing. Imagine how difficult it was to write letters
hundreds of year ago. Not to mention a daily journal. Paper was handmade, pens were feathers with a sharpened edges. Ink was made from ash & water or pigments from plants. Letters traveling distances and upon arrival, a recipient rejoiced. A letter was an event. *** Today I brought up my computer. Checked email that I missed when I looked at my
Black-Berry in the night. Conveniences.
How many letters would we write if we had
to make our own pens and papers?
*** Larry is out of town today. My morning will be devoted to canvas & pigment. So many promises. So many tomorrows. Love you. Me
