A Good Year

Yesterday was quiet. Starting with an interesting sermon at church, where, even with air conditioning at the church, the sanctuary was warm and very quiet.
We picked up a newspaper on the way home, although we knew that Michael Jackson was laced throughout the pages.
Libby needed her pug dinner around noon. I fed her and left to find Flip Flops. Yes. I am addicted. Last week when I was invited to a Flip Flop Luncheon, it is the perfect excuse for a new pair of outrageous sandals. I shopped for one hour and could not find anything! I must be losing my touch.
Sunday dinner and movie was served around 3. Meatloaf, potatoes, Italian green beans brown gravy...and Middle Sister wine. ( Middle sister wine can be found at Target. Let it breathe for about one hour and it is smooth, tangy, full and perfection) Yesterdays movie was "A GOOD YEAR" It was a DVD find at Kroger for $5.99. When I saw it there I grabbed it, and brought it home for Sunday Dinner. It is a light hearted tale by Peter Mayle....spun into a movie....I enjoyed it, Larry loved it and after one good dinner, a surprising bottle of wine, both of us were homesick for France. We frowned thinking that November is so far away....
It is 8:00am now, Monday morning, and 85 degrees. I am dressed in exercise clothes, and plan on 4 miles. The heat is oppressive this summer. It grabs you and you are stunned by its power....
Imagine me, walking Plano in the heat, my Adidas clothes....and tomato cheeks....as my face gets very red by the end of a walk. I had best leave before it gets any warmer.
Have a lovely Monday.
Love you!
Me
