On Saturday, Larry was invited
to a dinner party in Los Colinas.
(I was his plus 1)
The Party was hosted by Carter Blood Care
in recognition of special donors.
Last year, Larry donated 8 gallons of platelets.
That means every two weeks,
he took his lunch hour and let the blood care
people hook him up to a machine,
kidnap his platelets and send them to
a person who is very ill
and needs the platelets to stay alive.
A few days after donating,
Larry usually receives a text,
saying that his platelets
are on their way to someone
in Dallas, or Ft Worth or
even Houston.
I am so proud of Larry.
It is a priceless gift.
