A Birthday

 Birthdays are wonderful.

Especially when they are someone else's.

I adore watching someone on their special day.

But.......today is my birthday.

My phone has been buzzing (text messages) since 6:30 this morning 

and I am in awe of the love 

coming to me today.

Thank you. 

Thank you for remembering me, 

sharing the love in your heart 

and reminding me how awesome

 my friends and family truly are.

Larry has been celebrating me all week. 

He cooked dinner for me on Sunday,

 sent me the most beautiful flowers,

made a donation to Team Believe 

(Komen) and each time he walks past me, 

he says Happy Birthday and kisses my cheek.

There are two great days in a person’s life – the day we are born and the day we discover why.
