The Luau

Twenty four hours after the accident,

(I tripped and fell on a concrete sidewalk in Poipu)

 I was dressed and ready for a Luau.

Pain permeated my body,

 but I was determined not to

 miss one moment 

of this year's adventure on Kaua'i.

So, with six stitches in my lower lip, a slight concussion, a bloody nose, skin scraped off my right hand (to the bone) I dressed and went to my favorite Luau.

I will remember this evening for a long time.

Vacations are for making memories....
