Three weeks ago, I bought a steamed pudding mold online from an Etsy merchant, and had the bright idea of making a steamed pudding 

(with hard sauce)

for Christmas...using my Mothers recipe.

The Steamed pudding mold never showed up. The seller kept saying that was on its way, but when I saw that it was in Seattle Washington (I am in Texas) all hope was lost. 

Mother made the most wonderful steamed pudding using a recipe that she found in a British magazine.

Looks like my memories will have to sustain me...That and chocolate cake.
