Today I am grateful for the 1950's.

Sunday, dinner and a movie yesterday consisted of recipes from the 1950's.

I used an old cheesy cookbook as inspiration....

And then, I created a new casserole dish....
Robin & Larry's Chicken and Sausage Casserole.
(it was wonderful)

Larry found a recipe for a Waldorf Salad, that was created in the '50's

and for dessert we had my mother's pineapple upside down cake.
We drank Champagne and toasted the pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge, as we celebrated the Day of the Dead for pets.

I am glad that a new week has begun. I am ignoring the TV, politics and anything that has to do with me having to defend my opinion about ANYTHING. (Yes, I voted last Monday)
Life has taken a turn, and kindness is at a premium.
My playlist today is classical, Rachmaninoff to be exact.
The laundry is about 1/2 done and I am painting the cards that we send to good friends from Paris.

Please have a wonderful day.
Take time for yourself and smile often.
Love you beyond the moon.
