Going to the Beach

Larry and I go to the beach each year. I Like to sew, create, design, a few fun things to wear while we are there.

This used Muumuu pattern was dated 1973. I bought it from ETSY and the seller told me that part of the pattern was missing. I bought it anyway. (I got a discount!)

When it arrived, the pattern was is good shape and indeed some of it was missing. 

I used rice paper to make the missing pieces and the went on a fabric hunt.

Larry was with me when I stopped at the fabric store...and yes, he is the one to find this fabric. He might be colorblind, but he really can find the best fabric!

 I worked on the Muumuu this week and it is a wonderful old pattern.

The instructions were very different in 1973, from what are in patterns now.

The muumuu is almost finished...I must sew the facings down and hem it. (I think that I will have to cut a few inches off before hemming.)

I must admit, I am very ready to go to the SEA...
