Dear Friends

Our holiday cards are soon complete. The sketches I made earlier this summer did not work on the cards...so I had to start all over again.

I had my teeth cleaned a few weeks ago and DR F said that he could not wait to receive this year's card. I told him that the design was not coming together like I had hoped and there might not be cards this year.  He said: just keep at it. I know that you can do it.
AND darned if he was right!

This new design came together in two days.

Fifty cards are almost done. One element is left to put on them and it is most fun element, in my opinion.
Yesterday while I was gluing the mini paintings on card stock, my mind was was wandering, thinking about the people who we send cards to.
I could not help but wonder about a friend (or two) who I have lost contact with in the past couple of years.

So, yesterday afternoon, I was brave
and contacted each of the old friends.
Brave because I did not worry about being ignored and hurt.
I sent a simple text, saying that I was thinking about them,
with no expectations.

It felt good, just saying hello to a dear friend.
I thought that we were better friends than to let life get in the way of our friendship, but I was wrong.
Life can get in the way of EVERYTHING.

I hope that one day, we can be friends again.
It will never been quite like it was before.
It can be better.

Love you beyond the moon.
Me
