Texas State Fair Bound

I have been collecting Wheaton bitters bottles for over 30 years and own about 80 of them. They are different sizes, designs and different colors.

When our daughters were small and we had absolutely no extra money to spend, for "outings" we would go to antique shops and flea markets. There I would find the bigger bottles for $8.00-$12.00. Larry would often budget it in to our week...and my lovely collection grew slowly.

All of my bottles sit on glass shelves at a window in my work room. The  joyfulness of the colors always inspire me and make me extremely  happy.

Two of my collection have been delivered to the State Fair of Texas. (the Fair only allows two of a collection to be entered) They have been entered in the "collection" competition.  I also entered in two other categories.

I have not entered anything in the fair since my Mother died. The last thing I entered was a quilt that she helped me pick out the fabrics for. That was so long ago and meant so much.

The Texas State Fair starts on September 29th, 2023 and runs through October 22nd, 2023.
