Can You Imagine My Frown?

My question is...How do you feel about learning "family news" on social media?

I saw a social media post, that referred to my first cousin passing away weeks before.

He lived far away and I did not expect to me notified right away, but I saw the reference and felt miserable.....(that was ages ago) and to this day, no one has ever informed me in any way. (A note? A phone call?)

What about a relative expecting a baby? You went to her wedding...and you see on social media that she is expecting. No one in the family has said a word to you. Do you send a gift?

We need a "Dear Abby for social media"!!!

I guess that I am just an old lady that likes (LOVES) manners. The world is changing so fast, perhaps I am not keeping up?

 I remember my mother saying, 

....BETTER GOOD MANNERS THAN GOOD LOOKS.

My daughter laughs at me. She thinks that manners are outdated and my expectations are out of line.

Can you imagine my frown?
